Matthew joined Tate Partners in September 2021 after an exciting opportunity presented to work closely with Joe, Michael and the team. The core values of Tate Partners appealed with his own values, and he is looking forward to building on the strong client relationships within the organisation.

Matthew started his career in 2008 in public practice and went on to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2012. He has worked with numerous small and medium size businesses, as well as assisting many high-net-worth individuals with their tax objectives and their self-managed superannuation fund needs.

Matthew enjoys building relationships with his clients and has helped start-up businesses as well as many long-established businesses work through their exit strategies, utilising the small business CGT concessions where available to minimise their tax liabilities.

Matthew has strong tax knowledge coupled with an eagerness to learn and understand his client’s business and tax objectives, and how he can be of greatest assistance.  He has extensive business experience from working closely with a vast array of clients from different industries and has been proactive in securing his clients entitlements to their government grants and subsidies, as we continue to adapt and evolve to the ever-changing conditions presented by the covid-19 pandemic.

Matthew enjoys taking on a mentoring role and draws great pride in the professional development of the staff within the team, ensuring the level of service provided to our clients aligns with the fundamental values of our organisation.
